Description
Tim & Barry have been documenting underground culture for 22 years, playing an integral role in developing the aesthetics of grime, as well as championing everything from Chicago Footwork to Portuguese Batida.
These images are taken from their first solo exhibition Woosh - a collection of images taken during time spent with artists at the forefront of the UK Drill community, one of the most successful musical exports the UK has seen for years - whilst dealing with a high level of demonisation from both press and police.
Tim & Barry have had unprecedented access to an often mis-represented world, shooting images that highlight both the expected themes of surveillance, censorship and criminality - but also showcasing the humour, passion and creativity that has taken the scene to such international success.
