Description
A very cool, lesser-known story. In 2001 Banksy travelled to the Chiapas region of Mexico with the Easton Cowboys and Cowgirls football teams from Bristol, to raise awareness of the plight of the indigenous Zapatista people. There he painted a number of highly political murals, versions of which formed part of this exhibition back in Bristol.
Banksy allegedly played in goal for a few of the football matches.
Comes with a provenance letter from Laz Emporium.
