Description
This is taken from Rahima’s universally acclaimed 2018 series featuring the girls of Shehu Sanda Kyarimi school, Maiduguri, Nigeria which was attacked by Islamic terror group Boko Haram in 2013.
Despite the threat of imminent kidnap and enslavement, the students laugh, learn and pray in this very touching series of images.
Rahima is a Nigerian photographer who originally studied sociology and anthropology.
